In this article from the Chronicle of Evidence-Based Mentoring, learn more about findings from a new study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology on how simply reaching out to someone through a phone call or text results in positive effects. Many of the message senders in this study underestimated the impact of their communications to the recipients, while the recipients reported high levels of positive impact from receiving the check-in messages.
